A friend of mine called today while talking about dietary changes, we ended up talking about how to make it affordable. Well, I thought I would an example with the rest of you. Today I bought some bananas from the clearance section in the produce area.

These bananas are perfect and ready to eat. See the little brown spots? That means that the sugars are perfect and easy to digest. These will NOT cause constipation.

Banana smoothie anyone?

Dat Treadmill is da TROOF!

Weight update: 160.8

Got up this morning...later than usual. Listen I practice celebrating my history 365 so don't judge me for picking today to sleep in. Anyway, I got on that treadmills in that freezing garage and worked until I got a nice sweat going!!! I am in love. I even got grown and jogged a VERY short distance. I am proud of myself because I haven't done any cardio in forever. I did a about 1.25+miles, got my heart rate up and burned about 200+ calories. I came inside showered and did my prayers. I even put some perfume on. I was really feeling good about muhself. ;)

My plan is to do this every morning so that I will think about what I eat. I hope that will make me be more thoughtful about what I put in my mouth. I am working on portion control and eating when bored. Today we didn't formally homeschool and I got bored so I was eating things I shouldn't. I really have to work on that. I have plenty to do, but I am so used to my life centering around my chirren I guess I just fell off.

Thanks to Nikale, I'm bringin' sexy back...hopefully.

On another note, my husband bought me the book Raw Foods on a Budget by Brandi Rollins, M.S.. It is REALLY good so far. It's not just a cookbook. She is really showing you how to afford a healthier lifestyle and avoid being a starchitarian. I hope to implement her ideas while on the journey to health.

Lastly, a client of mine let me try her weighted hoola hoop and I fell in love!!! I want one so bad. The one I found locally is $40. It will be totally worth it when I get $40 to spare. Maybe I can get my Mama to buy it for me as a REALLY birthday present. Yea, maybe I'll try that. I don't ask for stuff very often so she might go for it. Let's all join in a word of prayer for me to get a weighted hoola hoop. What? don't you want me to have a slim sexy waistline?
